Derrick Rose Basketball Camp Sponsored by Adidas

by Boot Camps on March 8, 2012

Derrick Rose has a basketball camp for kids where he shows them proper free throw and shooting techniques, dribbling, passing, layups, creating space off the dribble, and how to tie it late with a floater.  He is a #1 draft pick, highly respected player and teacher of basketball and an all-around nice guy.  He teaches proper shooting form but doesn’t have the best form himself.  And that is why he misses shots all the time.  He does have a great flick of the wrist in his shots but he doesn’t
follow through and fully extend his arm and wrist when shooting and misses quite often because of this and other things.   There are some other form elements to his shooting that are off the mark as well.

There are many kids that want to do this camp sponsored by Adidas and it seems to me that much can be learned by doing it.  If you know of the next camp with Derrick Rose, please reply in the comments to let others in on where it is and where one can register for it.
