I’m Not A Troubled Teen, Just Searching for Marine Boot Camps

by Boot Camps on February 20, 2012

I have a unique situation and I’m hoping I can get your help and suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

I am 16 years old and I’ve decided that I want to enlist after I graduate.  I’ve been thinking about this decision a lot recently and I really think it is the right one for me.  I have the support of my family too since I’ve had relatives in the military.  I’m sure they will be proud of my choice too.

I want to be as prepared as possible for all the challenges of boot camp since I’ve heard from my uncles how difficult it can be.  Over the last few months I have been doing some research into what kinds of fitness tests I will have to pass and which exercises I can do now to get ready.  I’ve been ramping up my exercise and training schedule, but I recently thought of a way I might be able to do even more.

So here’s my question:  Does anyone know of a Marine boot camp for teens that is not just for trouble kids but more focused on

people like me who want to prepare for military boot camp?  I know that it is a rather specific question, but I figure there must be other guys like me who are determined to excel at boot camp and want to be as strong and resilient as possible before I even enlist.

Exercising on my own is helping a bit, but I know I would get a lot more out of boot camp style training that pushes me to my limit.  It is not so easy to do that on your own, especially when you have to create your own workout routines and try to force yourself to stick to a full training schedule.

So can you give me some information on boot camps?  What kind of programs do they offer and how can I get involved?  And what else can I do now so I won’t be overwhelmed by boot camp when I finally am old enough to enlist?  I can’t wait but I just know I have to be ready.

I was a marine and know that if you want to join the marines, you must prepare for war. War is horrible and no one should ever want to go to war. However, we need young men that are willing to lay down there lives for their freedom and the lives of their fellow countrymen. There is an organization for boys that are too young to join the marines called, Devil Dogs and you can easily search Google and find them.
