Assuming I do pass the test – and I’m pretty confident I will – I’m thinking about where I might be stationed. I was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest, so I have never gotten a chance to enjoy the big city or any kind of urban nightlife. What I would really like is to be stationed in a place where I can have lots of fun and maybe even a few adventures I will be able to tell my grandchildren one day.
As far as international bases go, I would love to be stationed anywhere in Europe or maybe in Japan. I know those are two extremes geographically, but I love European and Japanese cultures and really think it would be an amazing experience.
Since I am especially looking for some fun and adventure after I get out of boot camp, does anyone know of a US station that fits my description? Thanks in advance for all your advice and experiences. I am sure that they will help me figure out where I would most like to be stationed and how to enjoy myself over the next 6 years.
