I was under the impression that my husband would be sending me money during his time at boot camp. I am a stay at home mom and I do not have any form of income apart from what my husband earns. Apparently, it might take between six and nine weeks for me to receive the money he will be sending. Waiting that long will mean living on an extremely tight budget in the interim.
I realize that I may have misheard or misunderstood some of the details that the recruiter gave me about how the money gets sent. If you have any experience with sending or receiving money from a family member at boot camp, can you please help me by giving me some details?
How were you able to manage while waiting to receive the funds? Did they ever arrive sooner than you expected, like in four weeks instead of six? Or did the opposite happen and you were left waiting ten weeks or longer to get your check?
Getting accustomed to this new situation is going to be difficult for me personally and for my kids, but I know we can manage. Thanks in advance with your help regarding my question on sending money from boot camp.

Just have him set up a direct deposit of his paycheck into your checking account so he doesn’t have to send anything. That’s how he did and we were able to pay our bills that way.
I was able to have my paycheck direct deposited into our account so I didn’t have to send it while I was away at boot camp.
